Oakapple Close - Colchester
The versatility of the webertherm External Wall Insulation (EWI) system has been demonstrated at a major housing development at Colchester Barracks in Essex to achieve a u-value of 0.25W/m²K.
The first phase at the Oakapple Close site features 73 existing properties which have been brought up to standard along with a further 61 new-build units. The webertherm XM EWI system was installed onto the existing walling which was finished with weberplast TF, an acrylic based composite to achieve a textured, decorative and highly protective surface. Two properties also had the added insulation of webertherm XP below DPC to minimise thermal loss at ground level.
A wide range of colours are available and on the Oakapple Close site over 2,300m³ of varied colour panels have been used to add striking variety to the base white finish of these high quality homes.
