Save on external wall insulation with the Green Homes Grant and Weber Warm Homes

The new ‘Green Homes Grant’ is a £2 billion fund which will give homeowners the opportunity to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes with help from the government. Successful applicants to the scheme will receive up to two thirds of the cost of approved renovations, capped at a maximum of £5,000. For low income households, up to 100% of the cost of the works will be covered, up to a maximum of £10,000.

All installers and tradespeople who carry out any works under the grant scheme must be TrustMark approved, which will give homeowners the peace of mind of knowing that the renovations are being carried out by a qualified tradesperson.

How does it work?

An external wall insulation system is attached to the outside of your home, and is built up in several layers including insulation board and an adhesive render coat. Each system will be designed to fit the requirements of the project, and there are plenty of choices when it comes to colours and finishes for the final look – you can even go for a brick effect!
