Flitwick joins the Millionaire’s Safety Club
We’re proud to share that our Flitwick site has officially joined Saint-Gobain’s Millionaire’s Club after reaching one million working hours on-site without a lost-time accident.
Flitwick is currently 1-of-12 sites across the UK and Ireland to have received this award, with our Telford and Ballyclare sites also amongst those top 12.
This milestone is only possible because of the dedication, care and vigilance shown by everyone on the ground. Our team has consistently gone the extra mile to protect the wellbeing of colleagues, visitors and subcontractors each and every day.
To recognise this achievement, Dean O’Sullivan, CEO of Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland, visited the site to present the award and spoke of the importance of safety and that it is and should always remain our number one priority.
Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Exterior Solutions, Gary Wilmot commented:
“As part of the Saint-Gobain Group, we have an objective to ensure there are zero work-related illnesses and zero accidents. I am very proud to say that the Flitwick site is playing an integral part in ensuring this target is met, and I am deeply grateful to everyone involved. We now want to maintain and build on this.”
Flitwick Site Manager Vivien Palamini added:
“We’re incredibly proud to have achieved EHS Millionaire status, a milestone that reflects the daily commitment, discipline and care shown by our teams. This recognition is not about a number, but about a strong safety culture where everyone looks out for one another and safety is never compromised. Thank you to every colleague, visitor and contractor who makes this possible, every day.”
