ISO 45001 Certification achieved - if it’s not safe, it’s not Weber!

Saint-Gobain Weber UK & Ireland have received ISO 45001 Standard in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI) after demonstrating the company commitment to proactively work to protect their employees.

Introduced in 2018, ISO 45001 is the International Standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S), providing a framework to reduce workplace risks, increase safety and enhance health and wellbeing at work, allowing organisations to proactively improve its OH&S performance.

Stewart Nicholas, Operations Director of Weber UK & Ireland, said:

“Achieving this certification gives us a great sense of pride as it reinforces our commitment to prioritise health and safety in all that we do as an organisation.”

“We are proud to already have a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture, where our employees are encouraged to take an active role in OH&S.  We have a motto in the business that ‘if it’s not safe, it’s not Weber’”.

“Receiving this certification further supports our vision for zero harm for all employees and stakeholders and we will continue to work hard to further reduce any workplace incidents and ensure our colleagues can return home fit and well each and every day.”

“Achieving ISO 45001 was a team effort, with employees at each of our manufacturing sites in Flitwick, Telford and Ballyclare working hard to ensure continuity and support for the process.”
