Winter working with render

Scrape time control products for monocouche renders

The scrape time of monocouche render is optimal at 20°C, however in the colder and warmer months this means either the render can start to go off quicker or slower than expected. Our monocouche scrape time control products allow you to achieve a same-day or next-day scrape by either speeding up or extending scrape times.

Slow down scrape times

In colder months, slow down scrape times of weberpral monocouche renders to achieve a next-day scrape with weber monocouche retarder.

In warmer months, slow down scrape times of weberpral monocouche renders to achieve the drying time at 30°C as if it were 20°C – weber monocouche retarder stops the render drying too quickly and helps maintain a wet edge when applying a thin texture for roughcasting. It also allows more time to draw out ashlar design work and to drop scaffolding
