Sustainability happens at home as Weber upskills staff with Gold Level Membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School

As part of Saint-Gobain’s key mission to Build Better for People and the Planet, Weber has continued to invest in upskilling its staff to better understand the implications of and solutions to the climate crisis.

Supply Chain Sustainability School Gold Status

Achieving Gold Level Status, Weber has demonstrated an increase in sustainability competence and actively shared knowledge and experience with other members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

The construction industry must prioritise sustainability as a top priority, and Weber has pulled out all the stops to achieve its goal of becoming Net Zero by 2030:

  • Sustainability Roadmap which showcases all past, present and future sustainability actions and goals between 2009 and 2030 across our three pillars: Carbon & Climate, Resources & Circularity, and Health & Wellbeing;
  • Cement-replacement technology in various products which amounts from anywhere between 5% and a whopping 65% of recycled content to better facilitate a circular economy;
  • Employee-level targets to engage with and complete courses and content with the Supply Chain Sustainability School;
  • Climate Fresk training for all employees to deepen knowledge on the risks presented by our changing climate, allowing everyone to make more conscious and educated decisions both at work and home;
  • Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) coming in thick and fast for our key products such as our weberpral monocouche products, innovative lightweight brick-effect system weberwall brick, and our weberfloor screeds.

Various members of the Weber team have found the Supply Chain Sustainablity School has broadened their horizons when considering innovative solutions to be more mindful and considerate towards our environment.
