Winter working with render

Flexible winter working with render

When it comes to spraying monocouche render in the colder months, controlling scrape time is important to make sure projects can be finished at the right time.

What's more, our dynamic duo – weber monocouche accelerator and weber monocouche retarder – have been tested and approved by leading manufacturers of render dosing machines!

Same-day or next-day scrape?

Same-day scrape

Speed up scrape times to allow for a same-day scrape in colder months and achieve the drying time at 5°C as if it were 20°C.

weber monocouche accelerator is a liquid additive which can directly replace a proportion of the product gauging water, and it's colourless so it doesn't affect the colour of the render.

Remember:

  • Never overdose as this can have the reverse effect
  • Products must be used between 5°C and 30°C

How to ensure the correct dosage

Each 25kg bag of monocouche requires 85 ml of weber monocouche accelerator or 140-150 ml of weber monocouche retarder

Mix thoroughly into the gauging water before adding powder, and the total modified water must not exceed the allowable water content for the product used.

Check out the tutorials on each product page for more information on how to prepare, mix and apply.
