New EPDs strengthen the sustainability story of the Weber renders range
We’re proud to share an important step forward in our sustainability journey. Four products in the weberend family - weberend OCR, weberend one coat dash, weberend aid and weberend TTC - have now received independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). This update gives our customers clear, trusted data and reinforces our commitment to building a lower‑carbon future together.
Clear insights that support confident specification
The newly verified EPDs show that weberend TTC, weberend OCR and weberend one coat dash deliver CO₂ emissions between 0.24 and 0.28 kg CO₂e per kg of product. weberend aid records 0.48 kg CO₂e per kg. Each product also incorporates cement replacement technology, helping reduce the environmental impact of the mix and supporting us on our journey to reduce scope 3 emissions.
Verified transparency, built for real‑world decision‑making
Our EPDs follow the highest standards of assessment and each product declaration is based on a full cradle-to-grave life cycle analysis. This means the environmental impacts are measured from raw material extraction through manufacturing, distribution, use and end of life. It provides a comprehensive and honest evaluation of the product’s environmental performance across its full life cycle, not just to the factory gate
Each EPD also reflects the country of manufacture and the country of use, with the UK and Ireland considered as the markets of sale. By factoring in real transport distances and distribution routes, the final data mirrors how the product is actually used on projects. Every declaration meets international standards and is independently verified, giving architects, specifiers and contractors the confidence that the information they rely on is accurate, transparent and relevant to local projects.
Helping customers lead with sustainability
These new EPDs support our industry partners in choosing sustainable, high‑performing solutions:
- Helping them reduce their own scope 3 emissions
- Giving transparent lifecycle performance data
- Offering a meaningful market differentiator in the UK
- Helping us focus on continual reduction of our products’ environmental impact
Providing EPDs for key products is a core part of our sustainability roadmap, and this milestone reinforces our role as a dependable partner for better building.
