Laying the way for decarbonisation - weberset tile adhesives receive EPD certification
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are becoming more common as the construction industry moves towards a more sustainable future. An EPD is a third-party certified report that details the environmental performance lifecycle of a product from cradle to grave. It describes how the product impacts the environment from raw materials to disposal.
Our commitment to becoming carbon net zero by 2050 has many chapters, and part of the story is providing our customers with solutions to support them in the decarbonisation of their own environmental footprint.
We are pleased to share that we now have two new EPDs for our weberset range of cement-based tile adhesives.
The carbon emissions for each range of products have been calculated, and in a worst-case scenario, the first product group emits 0.69kg of CO2 equivalent per kilogram of adhesive, and the second group just 0.5kg CO2 equivalent.
We continually work to improve our product formulations focussing on the use of recycled materials, with some products in our weberset range currently containing up to 39% cement replacement.
The new EPDs can be found here... however, you may also view all our latest EPDs on www.environdec.com
